If you ask me how long you are doing this, I would say since I discovered the love and the passion towards beauty industry in my heart, but professionally since 2010.
From a young age, I always had an interest in art of Make-up and Hairstyling. I always found it fascinating to see how the shapes and colors can make enormous change in someone's look, and how getting a suitable haircut, color, or using the right amount of make up not only changes people's appearance, but also has a huge impact on their mentality and confidence.
I was born in an Assyrian family of five with some Russian background from my father side in a land that it's women are known for beautiful eyes and strong brows, Iran! Having two older sisters helped me to show earlier interest to this art. As a I grew up, I started helping my family and friends with their hair and make up just for fun, but then every time that I would do something for them, I could see the beautiful sparkle in their eyes, and the smile on their faces! And That would made me really happy and satisfied to see that my art had made them to feel good about themselves. There, I stared thinking about having the proper education and went to university for being a Cinema make up artist. After few semesters of learning and enjoying the art, my journey to the land of opportunity had began!
In the Unite states, I became a licensed cosmetologist in year 2010. With the help and support of my loving fiancé at that time, I started having advanced educational classes in the field. I strongly believe in education because the more you know the stronger and better you become. And I still keep my silks up dated through classes and social media. In art of hair cutting, I follow Vidal Sasson techniques, and in art of coloring I have the experience of working with three major color lines Wella Professionals, Alveda, and Redken! Along with beautifying my clients I started teaching Makeup and Blow Out classes.
After being in the beauty industry for 5 years, in October 2015, I became owner of Caroline’s Hair Boutique in the heart of Downtown Willow Glen in San Jose.
Now, I get to live my dream and pursue this art not only for fun, but to be a professional hairstylist and Make-up artist, Salon Owner, and a teacher. It always makes me happier and fulfilled when I see a positive attitude and a strong confidence in my clients when they leave my chair :)
